SSoE students may elect to participate in a full semester of engineering and related coursework at any one of our various Exchange or Partner institutions. At present, there are several dozen institutions with which the University of Pittsburgh has active exchange agreements in place. Other U.S.-based study abroad providers may offer other semester-length programs that may be of interest to SSoE students.
Below are exchange partners and Pitt recognized programs that offer engineering courses for a full semester abroad. Some of these universities are a part of our consortium of the Global Engineering Education Exchange or Global E3 program. Global E3, an exchange program of Engineering Schools from around the world. More than 60 universities worldwide—33 in the United States and 31 in Asia, Australia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East—comprise the Global E3 consortium. This consortium is administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE). The other exchange consortium is with seven of the German Universities of Applied Sciences- UAS7.
