Program updates for 2021 will be announced in early Spring 2021. Past program information is provided for your reference.
Short-Term Programs allow students to take a course or more than one for a short time typically during the summer. Some of the Panther Program abroad programs below are taught by SSoE faculty members. These program abroad typically focus on a topic of
relevance for global engineering, including sustainability, environmental design, international supply chain networks, or engineering practices throughout history.
All programs carry Pitt academic credit and contain an international component which lasts between ten days and three weeks. Programs may travel abroad over spring break or during the summer term.
The programs below link to more specific information about each program.
When you go abroad you are required to have the department Faculty Director sign off on how the program counts for requirements. The course approval form can be found here.
A number of Summer Short-term programs have become Virtual programs for summer. You can find all our virtual options on this new page.
