The Pitt EXCEL Program Summer Engineering Academy is a two-week intensive study skills, math and science review session for pre-freshmen. S.E.A. will take begin in August 4th, 2019 and conclude on August 17th, 2019. Participants will take non-credit courses in calculus, chemistry, and physics. In addition, they will attend an evening study session and an Introduction to Pitt seminar. Participants will also be introduced to the City of Pittsburgh through various activities such as a Just Ducky tour.
Students who participate are required to live on campus during the two-week program and stay on campus continually for that duration of time. At the conclusion of the program, students who will be living in University housing during the fall term will have the option of remaining on campus through the beginning of the semester.
The cost of participation is dependent upon the Family Adjusted Gross Income (AGI). If your family AGI falls under one of the categories listed in Table 1, then you will not be required to pay for program participation. If your family AGI is greater than the categories listed in Table 1, then your payment amount is given in the second column of Table 2. Please review the chart below to determine your cost.

There are a limited number of spots available for this program, so please respond as soon as possible. Students who are selected to participate will be emailed additional information regarding program participation at the beginning of June and must submit a $100 deposit by June 28, 2019. The remaining balance for program enrollment will be due on July 31, 2019.
