Azante Griffith

Azante is an undergraduate student studying Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh with minors in Chemistry and Neuroscience. She began working at the NTE lab in September 2017 under the guidance of graduate student Sally Zheng. Azante's research focus is evaluating and optimizing the in vivo stability and efficacy of L1 coated neural probes for chronic recording as well as assisting surgical procedures. She is a recipient of an NIH diversity supplement grant to continue her research through 2019. Outside of research, Azante serves as president of Pitt's National Society of Black Engineers chapter and enjoys travelling, cooking, and playing soccer.
