Why you chose Pitt:

Pitt was always my first choice; I went on a campus tour with my older brother and fell in love with the campus. I learned about the Co-Op Program within the Swanson School of Engineering, and I thought that it was a unique opportunity that would be important for my professional development during college and after graduation. Also, the inclusive atmosphere of Pitt makes you feel a part of a community, even if you are hours away from home.

Advice to First Year Engineering Student:

Every other freshman engineer is in the same boat as you. It is important to stay focused on your studies, but don’t forget to explore extra-curricular clubs and go to the football and basketball games. Enjoy your first year of college, because the friends and personal connections you make in your first year will stick with you forever.

Extracurricular involvement and Future Goals:

I am a sister of Phi Sigma Rho Sorority, and I am involved in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE).  I Co-Op with Eaton Corporation and I look to apply to their development program for full-time employment after my graduation in December 2020.
