Major: Industrial Engineering
Hometown: Pittsburgh, PA
High School: Pine-Richland High School

Why you chose Pitt:

I was unsure of what field of engineering I wanted to go into, and I really liked the variety of engineering disciplines here and the fact that I had a year to decide which type of engineering I wanted to do. I also loved Pitt’s city campus and all the activities that Pitt and the city of Pittsburgh had to offer.

Advice to a First Year Engineering Student:

Go out of your way to make friends in your classes. Having people to study with and work on assignments with helped me out the most my freshman year, and I still work with a lot of those friends I made then in my program now.

Extracurricular involvement and Future Goals:

I am involved in Epsilon Sigma Alpha, a co-ed service fraternity, so I do a lot of volunteering throughout the year. I also am a member of IISE so I can stay updated with current events and news in the Industrial Engineering World. My goal to focus on Project Management and get a job that pertains to that area of Industrial Engineering. I also want go back to grad school to obtain my MBA so I can combine my engineering skills with business skills.
