Short-Term Programs allow students to take one or more courses for a short time, typically during the summer. These programs typically focus on a topic of relevance for global engineering, including sustainability, environmental design, international supply chain networks, or engineering practices throughout history. Some Panther Programs below are taught by SSoE faculty members, while Pitt Recognized Programs' courses are taught through host institutions' faculty members.
All programs carry Pitt academic credit and contain an on-location component which may last between 10 days to six weeks. Short-term programs usually travel over spring break or during the summer term.
Review the programs linked below for more information about each option.
When you participate in a global program for credit, you must complete a course approval form and have your Faculty Director approve your courses/program. You can view sample course approval forms on our How to Go Abroad page.
