Setareh Kazemi

Setareh Kazemi is an Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. She completed her Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering with a concentration in Production Systems at University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, in 2025. Dr. Kazemi’s research sits at the intersection of data science and human-centered modeling and decision-making with privacy and fairness considerations. She is an active member of INFORMS, IISE and HFES. At Pitt, she teaches Intro to Data Analytics (IE 0015), Human Factors Engineering (IE 1061), and Faciliy Layout and Material Handling (IE 1055 & IE 2025).
