Why you chose Pitt:
I chose Pitt because I wanted to go to an urban university with lots of opportunities for personal and professional growth. Additionally, Pitt’s engineering program seemed unique as it offered many opportunities for student support and fostered a collaborative environment.
Advice to a First Year Engineering Student:
The freshman engineering program can be challenging and time consuming, but don’t forget to have fun and explore all that the Pittsburgh has to offer! By visiting other neighborhoods and local attractions, you can take some time to relax and explore the diverse cultures present in the city.
Extracurricular involvement and Future Goals:
I am an active member of Engineers Without Borders, Cru, and Theta Tau, Pitt’s co-ed professional engineering fraternity. In the future, I am planning to start a co-op to explore which divisions of the chemical industry would be a good fit for me.
