Specialization
Graduate students may specialize in transport phenomena, kinetics and catalysis, reactor engineering, process control, thermodynamics and phase behavior, solids processing, petroleum reservoir engineering, bioengineering, polymer science, multiphase processes, surface phenomena, and energy and environmental processes.
Department Labs
Department laboratory facilities include the multiphase laboratory, catalysis laboratory, solids processing laboratory, thermodynamics laboratory, and bioengineering laboratory. Equipment includes solid-state NMR, thermal analysis systems, high-pressure equilibrium view cells, specialized rheometers, gas chromatography, and mass spectrometry.
