Zheyuan Liu

Zheyuan is a professional M.S. student in bioengineering with a focus in neural engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he double majored in neurobiology and psychology. During his undergraduate studies, he conducted research in the Learning and Transfer Lab under the mentorship of Dr. C. Shawn Green, studying human motor learning and transfer through behavioral experiments. He later earned an M.S. in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego, where he conducted research in the Komiyama Lab under the mentorship of Dr. Takaki Komiyama. His master's thesis investigated the role of synaptic plasticity in the primary motor cortex during motor learning using optogenetics.
