In the Spring Term 2020, the SSOE announced the approval and implementation of a new (optional) mini review of the tenure dossier for assistant professors. Through the informal tenure dossier review, junior faculty can submit a mini-dossier and receive two pages of feedback from the APTRC with statements concerning advice on teaching, research and service. This is a great chance to start thinking about components of the tenure package and get valuable feedback from the same committee (APTRC) that reviews tenure packages. There is no voting during this mini-review, just feedback, advice and encouragement that can be useful for enhancing one’s dossier. Junior faculty are encouraged to discuss this opportunity with their department chairs.
