Valentina Alfonzo

Valentina was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She is currently an undergraduate sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh majoring in Mechanical Engineering, pursuing minors in Bioengineering and Neuroscience. She joined the Sensorimotor Learning Laboratory in March of 2026. The research she focuses on investigates how gait patterns can serve as a pre-determinant for neurological impairments. Outside of the lab, Valentina enjoys hiking, going to concerts, and spending time with her dogs!
