On March 25, the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering held its annual Distinguished Alumni Banquet at the University Club. Hosted by Michele Manuel, the U. S. Steel Dean of Engineering, and the Swanson School’s Office of Philanthropic and Alumni Engagement, the ceremony celebrates the accomplishments of remarkable alumni from the six departments and one for the entire Swanson School.
“It is a great honor to host this Distinguished Alumni Award Banquet,” Manuel said. “Each year, this event brings together remarkable alumni, faculty, staff, and students to celebrate the spirit of innovation, grit, creative problem-solving, and endless curiosity. This year’s cohort of Distinguished Alumni embody those qualities, and their tremendous achievements reflect the rich history of the Swanson School, the University, and our region.”
