Faculty Mentor: Partha Roy

Research:

Our lab focuses on studying the role of the cytoskeleton, specifically the actin-binding protein profilin-1 (pfn1) in different diseases (i.e. cancer, atherosclerosis). Particularly, my research focuses on the role of variable pfn1 expression in vascularization, and how this influences angiogenesis and, potentially, immune recruitment to sites of damage.
