Bistra Iordanova, PhD

Bistra is an assistant professor at the Department of Bioengineering and principal investigator for the Translational Imaging Laboratory (TIL). Bistra and her team are interested how the brain ages and manages its energy reserves with particular attention to the vascular and metabolic traits brought by menopause and lifestyle.  The TILab employs a set of interdisciplinary approaches such as MRI, two-photon, and intrinsic optical imaging. In her spare time Bistra enjoys gardening, traveling and playing chess with her two daughters.
