Desiree Ashton
Desiree Ashton is a senior undergraduate student at the University of Pittsburgh pursuing a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a certificate in Nuclear Engineering. Throughout her studies, she has developed strong technical skills in programming languages such as C and MATLAB, as well as proficiency in system modeling and simulation using Simulink and Aspen Plus. Desiree is currently working as an undergraduate researcher at Pitt’s Risk Analysis and Reliability Engineering (RARE) Lab. She joined the lab to broaden her understanding of system safety and reliability beyond the classroom and to gain hands-on research experience.
