Peyman Givi elected to Spain's Royal Academy of Engineering

Peyman Givi, Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at the University of Pittsburgh, has been elected a Foreign Member of the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAI) of Spain. The RAI promotes engineering in society and independently advises Spanish public and private institutions on matters related to engineering.
“This is yet another tremendous honor for a remarkable innovator and engineer,” noted Sanjeev Shroff, interim U.S. Steel Dean of Engineering. “Peyman is internationally recognized for his research in aerospace science and engineering, fluid flow, and quantum computing, and I thank the RAI for celebrating his accomplishments among other outstanding individuals.”
“I am honored to be inducted to RAI,” Givi said. “This is very special to me as some of the top researchers in my field including several of my mentors are affiliated with institutions in Spain.”
