Through hands-on experiences and modules designed by master educators and bioengineering majors, campers learn about the technologies, ex
perimental strategies, and ethical considerations involved in the field of bioengineering (with a special emphasis on tissue engineering). The developed modules highlight state-of-the-art research that is currently being investigated at the University of Pittsburgh and elsewhere throughout the country. The activities are designed to train campers on the use of biological and engineering methodologies that go beyond the typical exposure that they would receive in the classroom.
