Why you chose Pitt

In one sentence, I chose Pitt because it felt right as soon as I stepped on campus. I knew I wanted to attend a university in a city, but I also wanted a close-knit campus feel. Even though Pitt is in the middle of Pittsburgh, it still has a very distinct campus where I felt right at home. Three years later, and I still feel the same way!

Advice to First Year Engineering Student

Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it! There are numerous tutoring options on campus, and your professors are always willing to assist if you visit their office hours. Also, make sure you take a break from your engineering work every once in a while. Get out and explore Pittsburgh, attend a Pitt football or basketball game, or have brunch at Pamela’s!
