Why you chose Pitt

I chose Pitt for its location, reputation and amazing school spirit! Pitt really goes out of their way to make the city accessible to its students, and gives us tons of fun and educational opportunities. I love that I can get a Division 1 school feel, and at the same time get a smaller school feel by being a part of the School of Engineering. I see people I know EVERYWHERE.

Advice to First Year Engineering Student:

Time management is key. But remember to make room for some time to relax too! Group studying can be really beneficial, and helps form friendships. Join clubs related to engineering and some that are not! Try to meet a new person every day: I find that this is a fun challenge and it helps you build your network too!

Extracurricular involvement and or Future Goals:

I participated in Plus 3 Vietnam, which I highly recommend. I completed the co-op program with Net Health, an EMR company located in the Strip District. I’ll be working for them part time this Spring! I’m also a member of the Pitt Outdoors Club, IEEE and I volunteer as the Game Day Manager for the Women’s Ice Hockey team.  Currently enjoying my senior year, and looking ahead to my next steps!
