Pitt | Swanson Engineering

Greetings,

I am very proud to welcome you to our new online space for alumni, donors, students, and friends. The Office of Development and Alumni Affairs serves as the bridge between all of the Swanson School’s constituents and the activity in and around Benedum Hall. Each day, we have the privilege of coming to work on the bustling Oakland campus to witness what the service of our alumni and support of the philanthropic dollar has done to transform not only the face of Benedum, but the caliber of the students within.

The Office of Development and Alumni Affairs is your resource to:

  • Give back to help defer the cost of tuition via a scholarship like you perhaps once had. If you are interested in research, consider supporting a graduate student fellowship or a faculty member.
  • Get involved via our alumni speaker series or offer mentorship to students.
  • Reconnect with old friends via our annual and exclusive events. Please be forewarned that you are guaranteed to make a few new friends along the way.
If studying engineering at Pitt already has a special place in your heart, then it is my hope that this website and the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs staff will help solidify that memory. Please take some time to look around, and plan to join us as in our mission to honor tradition and celebrate the future of engineering at Pitt.

All the best,

Carey Anne Zucca
Sr. Executive Director of Development and Alumni Affairs

Society of Women in Engineering: Women in STEM Conference
All Day Event
TBA

The goal of this conference is to inspire and promote young women to gain confidence and achieve excellence in the underrepresented fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). While women comprise half of college graduates and the workforce, they represent less than a quarter of professionals in STEM. In order to advance intellectually as a scientific community, there exists a growing urgency to utilize this untapped talent and encourage females in STEM fields.
