Research Interests

Interactions between neural stem cell and biomaterials; Regulation of neural stem cells by electrical stimulation or combination of chemical, topological and electrical cues; Application of neural stem cells, hydrogel and electrical stimulation to help neuronal regeneration after diseases or injuries of the central nervous system, such as traumatic brain injury (TBI); Surface modification of neural electrodes with biomolecules or stem cells to reduce the inflammatory reaction in spinal cord and dorsal root ganglion.

Research Experience

Neural stem cell and biological hydrogel for central nervous system regeneration; Proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cell on peptide modified surface; Biocompatibility of neural electrodes with central and peripheral nervous system.

Combination of adipose-derived stem cell and porous chitosan scaffold to construct a tissue engineered small-diameter blood vessel.

Hematopoiesis of Smad3 -knockout mouse and initiate immune reaction of dendritic cells derived from bone marrows of Smad3 -knockout mouse.
