November 4, 2016, Mitch Taylor is the winner of a $500 top poster award for Brain Day 2016! The poster titled "Development of novel electrochemical sensors for the real-time in vivo detection of cocaine and dopamine”.

October 27, 2016, Daniel Garcia has been selected to receive a year-long Undergraduate Research Fellowship in Computational Neuroscience from the uPNC program. Dec 15, 2015, Dr. Cui named an AIMBE Fellow

Dr. Cui has been elected to the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) College of Fellows, Class of 2016.  The AIMBE College of Fellows represents the most accomplished and distinguished medical and biological engineers responsible for innovation and discovery.  AIMBE represents the top 2% of medical and biological engineering professionals.  Dr. Cui will be inducted into AIMBE in the spring of 2016. 

 

November 30, 2015, Mitch won the best oral presentation award at MRS

Mitch Taylor presented at the Material Research Society meeting in Boston. His presentation titled “Enhanced Dopamine Detection Sensitivity by PEDOT/Graphene Oxide Coating on in vivo Carbon Fiber Electrodes” has been given the "Best oral presentation in the CC symposium - Organic Bioelectronics - From Biosensing Platforms to Implantable Nanodevices".

 

November 16, Noah Defended

November 12, Oxi-Dent won the 2015 PInChTM Award

Oxi-Dent has won $100k award from the 2015 PInChTM Competition. 4 of the 5 team members are graduate students from our lab: Noah Snyder, James Eles, Kasey Catt and Zhanhong Du. A coating developed in the NTE lab to reduce neural inflammation around brain implants will be translated to dental implants in this project. OXI-Dent was also a winner in this year’s Randall Family Big Idea Competition.
