My research interests focus on microgrids. Microgrids show great promise for allowing customers to manage their own electrical energy needs through increased utilization of distributed renewable energy resources in a manner that is both more sustainable for the environment and capable of providing beneficial support services to the existing grid. Currently, my specific area of focus is on the control of microgrids.
