December 7, 2017 │12:00 – 1:00 PM │102 Benedum Hall
Launched in October 2016, the PERIS™ project is a
university-wide initiative to develop an electronic research management
solution that streamlines administrative workflow, enhances data collection and
processing transparency, and bolsters communication and partnership for the
research community. There are three
distinct and overlapping phases to the project, which is slated for completion
by Summer 2018.
Phase 1 of this project established MyFunding, an electronic module of the PERIS™ portal for creating,
routing, and submitting external research proposals. Training for MyFunding was
initiated in September 2017 with rollout in November 2017.
Phase 2 of the PERIS™ project kicked off in August 2017.
This phase implements sponsor project award processing, compliance integration,
and an interface between the Office of Research and the Research and Cost
Phase 3 will follow in 2018, creating a Principal
Investigator (PI) dashboard/research manager to manage and track compliance,
training, and research administration functions.
