Why you chose Pitt:

The University of Pittsburgh and Swanson School of Engineering have an atmosphere of advancement with a community of people that strive for innovation in science and technology. My #1 reason for choosing Pitt was that I liked the idea of being in a tight-knit school (Swanson) while still having all of the academic and social perks of a large university. Pitt provides its students with endless software, literature, and other resources for education success in the busy, exciting city of Pittsburgh.

Advice to First-Year Engineering Students:

Explore campus community opportunities such as athletics, resident life, clubs, study groups, religious groups, and more. Building a strong support system will make you feel empowered to tackle your engineering studies and meet your academic goals in a healthy way.

Extracurricular involvement (i.e. co-op, international education, clubs) and or Future Goals:

Outside of Engineering Ambassadors, my current extracurricular activities include: President of Omega Chi Epsilon (chemical engineering honors society), Sponsorship Chair of the Chem-E-Car Design Team, and St. Nicholas Cathedral Choir. I really enjoy helping new engineering students!

After two amazing internships at materials company Covestro, I will be joining them full-time after graduation in their Commercial Development Program.
