Twice each year the Design EXPO features more than 70 student projects that traverse the design space from problem identification, specification of objectives and constraints, and conceptual development, in many cases resulting in an actual prototype.
The EXPO provides students an opportunity to display their creativity and ingenuity among peers, professionals and the Pitt community.
Many projects come directly from the Swanson School’s Capstone Design Courses and were submitted by graduating seniors. The Capstone Design enable students to address real-world problems either posed by industry or identified by the teams themselves.
Other projects also highlight concepts and prototypes from students in product realization courses, design clubs, and other organizations.
The EXPO is open to the public. Parking is available in the Soldiers & Sailors Garage.
